If your completed courses, exercises, or XP are missing from your account, the most likely reason is that you're logged into a different DataCamp account than the one where your learning history is stored.
Step 1: Check for multiple accounts
Learners often accidentally create multiple accounts by using:
A personal vs. work email
A typo during sign-up
Google or LinkedIn sign-in
Apple’s “Hide My Email” feature (
@privaterelay.appleid.com)
Tip: Try logging in using all possible emails or social sign-in methods you've used before.
Step 2: Found the right account? Update the email
If you've located the account that contains your progress but want to switch the email to a preferred one:
Go to Account Settings → General
Under Email, enter the new address
Confirm the change via email
⚠️ You can’t use an email that’s already tied to another account. Delete the duplicate or contact Support for help.
Can I merge two DataCamp accounts?
❌ DataCamp cannot merge accounts or transfer XP or course progress between them.
If you have progress or a subscription on one account and want to consolidate, your best option is to:
Use the account with your existing progress
Change its email to your preferred address
Deleted account?
If you previously deleted your DataCamp account:
❌ We cannot recover deleted accounts.
All XP, completed content, and subscription access are permanently erased.
Still need help?
If you're unsure which email holds your progress, contact DataCamp Support and provide:
Your full name
All possible email addresses
Any subscription payment info (see related article: Where is my DataCamp subscription?)
