Our new AI Tutor courses use advanced AI technology to provide you with a personalized, interactive learning experience. Running these AI systems requires significant computing resources for each learner.

• Unlimited access to 680+ classic courses: All existing DataCamp courses remain fully accessible with your subscription, no credits needed.
• Practice exercises and projects: Continue building your skills with hands-on coding challenges at no extra cost.
• Certificates and skill assessments: Earn certificates and track your progress just like before.
• Career and skill tracks: Follow guided learning paths across data science, analytics, and engineering.

What are Credits?

Credits are a flexible currency that lets you unlock and access our newest AI Tutor courses. Courses and tracks cost credits based on their length and depth. Learn Premium subscriptions include sign-up credits based on the price you have paid. These credits refresh with each billing cycle if you opt for our Learn Premium yearly offering. Top up anytime if you need more.

What are AI Tutor courses?

AI Tutor courses feature real-time AI tutoring, personalized feedback, and interactive coding environments powered by large language models. These cutting-edge courses adapt to your learning pace and provide instant help when you get stuck.

What are AI Tutor tracks?

Use credits to access our comprehensive AI learning tracks. DataCamp's Curriculum Team has designed course programs (called 'Tracks') to guide your data science journey and incrementally build complementary skills. We currently offer two different types of Track -- 'Career' and 'Skill' -- in a variety of programming languages. 

How can I get credits?

There are three ways to get DataCamp credits:

• Included with Learn Premium Yearly - subscribers receive credits per year, based on the amount you pay for your subscription, automatically added to your account when your subscription renews annually. 
• Users who purchase Learn Premium Monthly subscriptions will receive 30 credits on initial purchase only. 
• Top up anytime—Need more credits? You can purchase additional credit packs at any time from the navigation bar, in Learn Hub or at the end of lesson 1 in AI Native courses.

How many credits does a course cost?

Each AI Tutor course has a different credit cost based on the length, depth, and complexity required to deliver the learning experience. Course credits are visible on every course and track page. On average, an AI Tutor course costs 50 credits; many AI Tutor courses cost less than this. 

What happens to courses I purchase with credits?

Courses and tracks you purchase with credits are yours to take as many times as you like, for as long as you have an active DataCamp Premium subscription. If you cancel your subscription, they'll still be waiting for you when you resubscribe.

How can I spend my credits?

Simply start one of our AI Tutor courses. At the start of lesson two (remember: lesson one is always free!), you will be prompted to use your credits to continue. Alternatively, unlock any course or track from the course or track description page. 

Do credits expire?

Different credit types have different expiry dates:

• Subscription credits reset at each annual renewal
• Top-up credits expire 12 months after purchase and require an active subscription to be used
• Promotional credits will have a custom expiration date, set when they are given to you

How much do credits cost?

Top up credits can be bought in packs by users who have a Learn Premium Subscription, or a DataCamp donates license.

Where can I see my credit balance?

You can view your credit balance by hovering over the credit balance pill in the top navigation bar or you can see more detail in the subscription tab of your account settings. 

How does this impact my Learn Teams, Enterprise or Unlimited Subscription?

Credits are only granted and available to Individual Learn Premium subscribers or DataCamp Donates license holders. Your Learn Teams, Learn Enterprise, and Learn Unlimited Subscriptions will be unaffected.
