You can update your personal details from your Account Settings tab, under the General section.
How do I edit my details?:
To change your personal information:
- Log in to your DataCamp account. Click on the down-facing arrow next to your profile picture or avatar.
Select Account Settings
- Enter your new details and click Save Changes
Common issues and troubleshooting
I can't edit my email address
If you're unable to update your email address and see an error when entering it, it's possible the address is already associated with a different account. If you can access that other account and it doesn’t contain any progress, you can delete it to free up the email address.
I can't edit my public profile link
If you're unable to edit the link and see an error message when entering it, it's possible the link is already in use. You can try different versions of the link name until you find one available. If the link is already in use on one of your own accounts, you can log in and edit the other link in order to free the original one up.
I can't edit my name, it's locked
If your account is part of a group that has SSO (Single Sign-On) enabled, your First Name, Last Name, and Email fields will be locked and can only be updated by your organization’s admin.
If you’ve since left the organization’s Enterprise group and still need to update these details, please contact our Support team and we’ll be happy to help.
Where can I set my timezone?
DataCamp automatically detects and sets your timezone based on your local system’s settings. There is currently no option to change or set your timezone in your account manually.
If your timezone appears incorrect, please check your device’s system settings to ensure the correct local timezone is configured.
