I want to add team members to my DataCamp organization, but some people already have active individual subscriptions. How can I sign everyone up and transfer their XP?
Answer:
Option 1: Invite Subscribers Using Their Existing DataCamp Login Email
- Log into Your Team Account
- Navigate to the Members section in your group’s left panel.
- Send an Invitation
- Select Invite Members and enter the email address associated with the subscriber's individual DataCamp account (the one they used to purchase their subscription). Learn more at For Business | Add Licenses, Invite Members, and Manage Roles
- Member Accepts the Invitation
- Once the subscriber accepts the invitation, their individual subscription will automatically be canceled.
- Refund Processing
- A pro-rata refund will be processed to the original payment method they used for their individual subscription.
Option 2: Have Subscribers Update Their Account Email Before Joining The Group Via Invite Link or Company Email Address.
If you’d like the subscriber to join using their organizational email or invite link, follow these steps:
- Request Email Update
- Ask the individual subscribers to update their existing DataCamp account email to their company email from Account Settings here.
- Invite Them to the Group
- Invite them to your group using their organization email.
- Share the invite link you created with them.
