Within a DataCamp Organization, different roles or member types serve different functions. Each member type is outlined below, along with information on what they can access and do.
There are 3 Member Types in a For Business Organization:
- Member: A Member can also be identified as a learner. A person with this role does not have any administrator privileges. However, anyone with this role would have access to all premium DataCamp content and the Organization Leaderboard.
A Member role occupies one license.
- Administrator: The Administrator role grants access to the Admin dashboard, Leaderboards, and all Organization settings and configurations. Administrators have access to all premium DataCamp Content.
An Administrator role occupies one license.
- Dashboard Only Access Administrator: This role grants dashboard access only. This means that anyone with this role has the ability to make administrative changes to the Organization. However, they do not have access to premium DataCamp content.
This role does not occupy any licenses.

You cannot have more than one role in a DataCamp Organization. For example, you cannot occupy a Member License and have Dashboard only Access at the same time.
If you need access to premium content as well as access to the dashboard, then you would need to enroll in the Organization as an Administrator.
Please keep in mind that the options to Invite Members defaults invitees to a Member status, which would occupy a seat or add a charge if you have exceeded your allotted licenses.
