Why is there a difference between the XP on a member's profile page vs. the XP on my Organization Leaderboard?

Question:

I'm looking at the Leaderboard in the Group Hub and can see that the XP in the Leaderboard is different from the XP on the same member's profile page. Why is there a difference?

Answer:

There are a couple of reasons why the XP on the leaderboard would be different than the XP on certain members' profile pages.

  1. The data has not fully updated...yet
Members' profile pages contain the most up-to-date XP information. Leaderboards, on the other hand, update every 6 hours approximately, so you may see temporary discrepancies.  This means that most of the time, the Leaderboard is a bit behind each individual's progress, and you can wait a day to see the XP and completions from the day before.

Even if it looks like some courses or progress are missing, there’s no need for concern. Group admins are aware of this sync delay and understand that the XP is simply pending and will be reflected soon.
  2. Leaderboards only capture specific timeframes
Leaderboards default to display information from the past 30 days, so the total XP earned might seem different from the total each user has in their personal accounts. To check the real accumulated, you can switch to 90 days, 365 days, and all time. For more specific data, you can use DataCamp for Business Reporting.
