    Hello Robert,

    Yesterday I was automatically charged by 29$ dollars and my subscription was renewed without any email in advance that that will happen . Since I do not want to be a subscriber of DataCamp anymore, I want to cancel my subscription and kindly ask you if you could refund me the sum you deducted from my account? I had no intention of paying the subscription for this month since I am not using DataCamp services anymore.

    Hi - I just saw you have charged my card without notifying me about subscription renewal. Could you please refund 219.88 AUD immediately. I am contacting my bank to let them know about this transaction.

    Hi,  the same situation as Nalinh1995.  I forgot the cancel my subscription until my credit bill notification just a few minitues ago. I just log on the website and cancel it. Could you please give me a refund?

    Robert ... dude - some feedback for you:

    “While we have been able to confirm that our email notification system is working as expected”

    I have scoured my inbox for your notification email (and did it again just now when I saw your comment) - there’s nothing. So saying that “our notification system works as expected” is a total BS answer. Have you actually reached out to anyone here who has complained that they never received a notification? And you want to solve this problem by bringing transparency to a page that, I’m guessing, most of us never visit? This is not good.

    I appreciate that you’ve refunded my subscription payment but I will stick with platforms like edX which I find far more trustworthy.

    Hello Robert,

    Today morning I accidentally chose yearly subscription instead of monthly subscription which resulted in 180$ debit from my account. I cancelled the subscription immediately. I also mailed the support team and the tried to reach out through facebook message. I was left with no money because of this subscription. Can you please help me in getting refund which would mean a lot to me.

    I guess I was charged before the real deadline - the end of the day. When I canceled my subscription due to lack of time/money, I've noticed the annual payment has already been deducted from my PayPal account. I hope you can help me out.

    Hi Robert,

    I ordered a monthly subscription plan but I got the yearly plan. I was so excited to use DataCamp to learn R but it was really shocking to see how much I had to pay. I would seriously like a refund and some clarification regarding this incident.

    I've got the same problem as most of the above where i signed up for a year's subscription last year but haven't really utilised the license. I forgot to cancel my subscription and I've been charged for another years subscription. Can i get a refund?

    I'm very sorry to hear that the auto-renewal came as a surprise to you. We try to be as transparent as possible, which is part of the reason we've kept this Help Article as an open form of communication for refund related concerns.

    I understand that it is possible to be caught off guard with a charge like this one, but I'd also like to let you know that we do take steps to ensure our customers are aware of recurring charges.

    All new customers receive an email with information on our pricing model as well as information for canceling at any time to avoid recurring charges. We've also updated our Terms of Use for more clarity on our payment policy. See section 4.1: https://www.datacamp.com/terms-of-use. 

    Additionally, our Support team works directly with customers on any payment related issues. I see that our team is already working with you via email, so I won't create an additional ticket.

    It was auto-renewed. But unfornately, I cannot afford that amount of money at the moment.

    So, I want a refund.

    We certainly provide refunds if there was a billing error on our side. Note, it typically takes 5-7 days to process. 

    I'd also like to note that we are in the process of updating our billing system with a goal of making it a more streamlined process for you.

    I also have the same issue, I just saw a $149 charge on my credit card this time. I didn't any message and e-mail for automatically charge issue. It's bad situation to me. Cound you please give me a refund?

    I was checking the subscription for Data Science using Python and I was checking the price. I was just adding my card details, hoping to subscribe later. I always get an OTP to authenticate the transaction, but the amount got immediately deducted and I did not receive any authentication before the transaction. I really did not use my subscription and I don't need it right now. Could you please cancel the subscription and refund my money? Its not even 15 mins between the amount deduction and this post. I am running low on my credit limit and this really could help me. Please do  the needful.

    For some reason I got the yearly plan, when I ordered the monthly one!!! This of course gave me a bad start with your product, and I would like a refund and some clarification on how this happened.

    I would like know when I can have my money refunded??

    This is really a big blunder on your part and and how can you charge $300 for a $29 subscription!!! This is a similar issue that some of the other subscribers have mentioned above (Jamie, Ankita and Varun). At this point I just cant afford an yearly plan. I want my money back URGENTLY!!!!

    Hi Guys,

    I am also facing situation as most of other folks here.

    @Robert please inform before auto renewing as I had no intention of renewing the plan and did not get ANY intimation.

    I had enjoyed last year classes thats why I took subscription but did not know they will auto deduct after 1 Year (a very long time sice I have even logged in to datacamp truthfully)

    Its a quite decent amount of 90$ plus convinience fee in my currency (INR)

     

     

    Please refund the money.
