My account auto-renewed, can I get a refund?

    Hi,  the same situation as Nalinh1995.  I forgot the cancel my subscription until my credit bill notification just a few minitues ago. I just log on the website and cancel it. Could you please give me a refund?

    Hi Guys,

    I am also facing situation as most of other folks here.

    @Robert please inform before auto renewing as I had no intention of renewing the plan and did not get ANY intimation.

    I had enjoyed last year classes thats why I took subscription but did not know they will auto deduct after 1 Year (a very long time sice I have even logged in to datacamp truthfully)

    Its a quite decent amount of 90$ plus convinience fee in my currency (INR)

     

     

    Please refund the money.

    Hello,

    I have the same problem as the guys above.

    I was charged for a one year subscription without being aware that this is the case. As such, I would like to ask for a refund as I was not planning to renew the subscription at this point.

    I hope that you can get this sorted and send me a refund for this charge.

    @Alexandros, they have very quite in this matter. I have raised support ticket and cancelled subscription still no reply from datacamp.

    Hello Robert,

    I am also having the same problem with most of the people here. I was trying out DataCamp and didn't intend to subscribe to it. At the same time, I wasn't aware that my card would get automatically charged for the plan I chose when I signed up an account with you. I am no longer using DataCamp, so I think it would be great if you could help me refund $29 for this month's subscription. Thank you and hope to hear back from you soon.

    Hello Robert,

    Today morning I accidentally chose yearly subscription instead of monthly subscription which resulted in 180$ debit from my account. I cancelled the subscription immediately. I also mailed the support team and the tried to reach out through facebook message. I was left with no money because of this subscription. Can you please help me in getting refund which would mean a lot to me.

    I was checking the subscription for Data Science using Python and I was checking the price. I was just adding my card details, hoping to subscribe later. I always get an OTP to authenticate the transaction, but the amount got immediately deducted and I did not receive any authentication before the transaction. I really did not use my subscription and I don't need it right now. Could you please cancel the subscription and refund my money? Its not even 15 mins between the amount deduction and this post. I am running low on my credit limit and this really could help me. Please do  the needful.

    Hello. I too was charged an annual subscription fee without knowing. I did not wish to continue being enrolled for the 2018 year and was not given an email notice of the upcoming renewal charge. I would kindly like a refund back of the $150 i was charged and cancel my subscription. Thanks so much.

    I have been using Datacamp from past couple of months and it has been a great experience. Due to lack of time I paused my subscription and yesterday I was charged again without any prior notice or acknowledgement since I had no intention of restarting the plan due to other constrains I would kindly ask the team to refund the money and cancel my subscription. That would be of a great help and kindly refund back the amount as soon as possible.

    In the light of many commemnts here, It is clear that DataCamp has not been correct regarding the monthly plan. Why did you charge me $300 dollars right away if I clicked on a $22 plan? It is really anti-ethical in my view. I was keen to start a course with DataCamp but after that my enthusiasm turned into anger. I get a notification of my bank saying that DataCamp was apid 263 euros from my credit car. It is far from what I expected ($22 dollars). I would like to know how the new GDPR comes in hand in this situation. It is so inconsiderate. I cannot recommend DataCamp to anyone after this.

    I have already made a formal complain on the refund.


    I happened to know that many people (Anika, Roberto, etc) were refunded due to the misleading process of subscription on your website.

    Again , I am shocked with the way you have been playing with people's money. It is unacceptable!!!

    I am not asking for a full refund. I want to get refund in 278 dollar and keep my monthly paid of 22 dollars as expected.

    Please notice that I do want to learn from DataCamp but this experience has been annoying to me.

    I right away identified that I was charged annually rather than monthly. I want refunded as soon as possible.

    I want my money back, Mr Robert. Please.

    The ticket I got after emailing the support is 107323.

    I cancelled my subscription as soon as I seized that I was led to pay an annual fee rather than monthly. So I belive that I should not have been charged.

    Hello, I had recently purchased a subscription for full access. However, it was meant to be for a monthly billing process, not a full year. So I was wondering if it is at all possible if I could receive a refund for the 300$ that was spent for the full year, so I can then switch to the monthly billing plan.     I'm sorry to hear about the negative experience you've had with our billing process. I personally looked into the process of signing up for a subscription and can confirm that there are no technical errors on the DataCamp side. I was able to successfully sign up for a monthly subscription.

    However, I do see that it can be very easy to accidentally choose the wrong subscription option. I created the following Help Article in the hopes of helping others in the future: https://support.datacamp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007145413

    That said if you still feel that there is an error with our billing options, please let us know as soon as possible so we can take action immediately.

    Today I was automatically charged by 29$ and my subscription was renewed without any email in advance. Also I've gone through all the comments, everyone of them have the same issue like me, your auto renewal of payment method without the knowledge of the individual.

    As with all those guys in this topic, I was automatically charged $300.

    My subscription was renewed without any email in advance that that will happen . Since I do not want to be a subscriber of DataCamp anymore, I want to cancel my subscription and kindly ask you if you could refund me the sum you deducted from my account? I had no intention of paying the subscription for this month since I am not using DataCamp services anymore.

    Hello,

    For some reason I got the yearly plan, when I ordered the monthly one!!! This of course gave me a bad start with your product, and I would like a refund and some clarification on how this happened.

    I would like know when I can have my money refunded??

    This is really a big blunder on your part and and how can you charge $300 for a $29 subscription!!! This is a similar issue that some of the other subscribers have mentioned above (Jamie, Ankita and Varun). At this point I just cant afford an yearly plan. I want my money back URGENTLY!!!!
