If you've started or completed a course on DataCamp and would like to remove your code submissions and reset your progress, you can do this easily via the Reset Course Progress feature. This guide will walk you through the steps.
What happens when you reset progress
All code and progress in the selected course will be permanently removed.
The course will be removed from your Library.
Your XP (experience points) earned in the course will remain on your profile.
The course may momentarily appear in the Progress section of your Learn hub or Dashboard, but will disappear once you open another course.
⚠️ Note: This action cannot be undone.
How to reset course progress
Option 1: New method (Course detail page)
Go to the course’s Course Detail page.
Click the dropdown next to the “What’s new?” section.
Select Reset Progress.
A confirmation message will appear—click Confirm to complete the reset.
This method lets you quickly remove the course from your “In Progress” section.
Option 2: Classic method
Go to the course you want to reset.
Click View Chapter Details and select any lesson.
Inside the lesson, open the Course Outline.
Click Reset Course Progress.
Confirm the action.
