Python for Developers Course Updates: Q4 2025

We have refreshed our Introduction to Python for Developers and Intermediate Python for Developers courses as of Thursday October 30th, 2025 to improve the “for developers” narrative, enhance the practicality of exercises, and address feedback.

Introduction to Python for Developers key updates include:

  • Improved accessibility: Videos have been updated to include slides and key on-screen information for all chapters.
  • Clear developer focus: Introduced a consistent developer persona and added a project-based outcome to enhance real-world relevance.
  • Streamlined early learning: Simplified initial exercises to reduce onboarding content and create a smoother start.
  • More authentic examples: Removed “Python as a calculator” sections in favor of practical, developer-oriented use cases.
  • Aligned learning objectives: No objectives were added or removed; minor content ordering adjustments were made to fill gaps left by onboarding and calculator content.

Intermediate Python for Developers key updates include:

  • Clear developer focus: Updated examples and use cases in videos and exercises to better match a developer persona, not data analysts/scientists.
  • Improved video narrative: Videos were updated with shorter scripts, introducing concepts through narrative rather than just listing functions and methods.
  • Improved exercises with gradual complexity: Multi-step and non-coding exercises in Chapter 1 were replaced with single-step coding exercises to create a smoother, learn-by-doing start. Exercises were simplified to increase the focus on the main learning objectives, with more hands-on coding introduced throughout the chapters.

Aligned learning objectives: No objectives were added or removed; we teach learners the same functions and methods.
