DataCamp Theory Certifications

DataCamp's Theory Certifications are designed to demonstrate a mastery of data and the ability to make data-driven decisions. They are designed to be flexible and fit into a busy schedule. Our Theory Certifications also do not expire! You may attempt any Theory exam once every 30 days.

 Theory Certifications available for all learners:

  • Data Literacy: A great place to start if you’re new to data! Show you know about different types of data and common analytic techniques. You will also demonstrate you can interpret visualizations and obtain key insights.
  • AI Fundamentals: Ideal for anyone who needs to show they have a grasp of the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI). From machine learning to generative AI, demonstrate when different approaches should be used and the ethical considerations you need to account for.

Theory Certifications available to Business subscription members: 

  • Data Governance Fundamentals: This Certification tests your understanding of the key principles behind effectively managing and securing your data. Essential concepts covered include data privacy, data protection measures, data quality, and your legal and ethical obligations in processing data.
  • EU AI Act Literacy: This Certification helps build the necessary AI literacy skills to meet your organization’s obligations under Article 4 of the EU AI Act. You will gain an understanding of AI risk categories and compliance requirements, along with the knowledge needed to navigate and integrate AI safely and effectively.
  • GDPR & Data Privacy Fundamentals: The GDPR & Data Privacy Certification equips individuals with essential knowledge of data protection regulations, privacy principles, and security measures to safeguard sensitive information. It provides the skills needed to ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data privacy laws, fostering trust and accountability in the digital landscape.
