DataCamp Portfolio: A Step-by-Step Guide

Portfolio pages will be retired on June 1, 2026

We’re retiring Portfolio pages to focus on the parts of DataCamp that learners use and value most.

What's changing

  • Progressivelly, and scheduled to end on June 1, 2026, Portfolio page is being deprecated.
  • Ahead of June 1, Portfolio-related features, such as adding DataLab projects to Portfolios, will start to be removed from the platform.
  • For admins, links in your Group Hub that currently point to individual learner Portfolio pages will be updated to direct to each learner's Progress Report instead, which Progress Report provides richer, more actionable data on each learner's activity.

What's not changing

  • Certifications and Statements of Accomplishment are here to stay! You can continue to earn, view, and share them via a direct link, exactly as today.
  • Your learning history, XP, streak, and all other account activity remain unaffected and accessible in your account.

For learners: What to do before June 1

  • If there's content on your Portfolio you want to keep, save or screenshot it before June 1.
  • If you have shared your Portfolio URL on LinkedIn, your CV, or anywhere else, update those links with links to your Certifications.

For admins: What to do before June 1

  • If your organization has saved or shared learner Portfolio URLs (for example in onboarding documentation, LMS integrations, or internal directories), those links will stop working after June 1. We recommend replacing them with links to individual Progress Reports.

With DataCamp Portfolio, you don't need any design or technical skills to showcase your top DataCamp achievements! View our blog post to see how you can use predefined templates and an intuitive interface to create an impactful data portfolio in minutes.

Note: DataCamp Portfolio is only available to active DataCamp subscribers. Non-subscribers are welcome to create a Portfolio, which will be publicly listed as "Anonymous Waffle" until a subscription is purchased.

You can also edit and customize other areas of your Portfolio, including your headline, highlights, completed work, education, work experience, and About Me section. You can click on each section to open the edit menu.

3. Sharing Your Portfolio

  • Single Link Sharing: Once your portfolio is ready, share it effortlessly with a single link, making it easily accessible to recruiters and others interested in your work.
  • You can also share your DataCamp Portfolio directly on LinkedIn.

To ensure your portfolio is public and others can access it, you must enable others to see your profile at the bottom of your personal account settings. To do so, mark the checkbox next to "Allow others to see my profile":

4. Common portfolio issues

People cannot access my portfolio: "Anonymous Waffle"

If you are enrolled in a DataCamp group, the visibility of your profile is controlled by the group's settings. If the group admin has toggled off "Allow public profiles," other people will not be able to view yours or other members' portfolios. This setting can only be adjusted by your group's admin, and it applies at the group level, not the user level.

I can't edit my portfolio:

This issue appears when an "insecure link" is added in the "About Me" section. The edit menu of this section can be found at the bottom of your portfolio page.

The Social Profiles section only allows secure links starting with "https." If the link you typed in starts with "HTTP" instead, the portfolio becomes uneditable until the link is deleted or corrected.

I can't edit my name on my portfolio:

If you are part of a group with SSO enabled, the First Name and Last Name sections will show as locked, and you won't be able to edit them.

In order to edit your name, please reach out to Support. We will be able to make this adjustment for you.
