Some of my assignments have a status of "Late" or "Missed". What is the difference between a "Late" assignment and a "Missed" assignment?

“Completed” Assignments:
The assignment was completed before the due date.
“Late” Assignments:
The assignment was completed after the due date.
“In Progress” Assignments:
The assignment has not been completed and the due date has not passed.
“Missed” Assignments:
The assignment has not been completed and the due date has passed.
